In a news article at CVG, Spore Senior Producer Morgan Roarty has drawn parallels of Spore with Little Big Planet. He stated that the sheer size of Spore's community built content is a lot bigger than Little Big Planets and that the tools were a lot easier to use too. He said:
"They don't have anything near our numbers of things created," he asserted, noting that around 200,000-250,000 creatures, buildings and vehicles are created daily by Spore players.
He went on to compared the number of user generated content in Spore:
"They can't give people our 64 million [Sporepedia entries]," Roarty, who's Galactic Adventures' executive producer, added of Media Molecule. "We want to get that 64 million to have that kind of functionality and then we're going to be happy."
I can attest to what he said. Spore truly has a lot more user generated content and its editors are a lot more user friendly. It will be interesting to see the level of depth the added editors will have in the Galactic Adventures expansion pack.
Spore Galactic Adventures expansion is set to release in Spring 2009.
