Pcgames.de revealed that a french blog has reported that a demo for the game is imminent. It is set to hit XBOX360 and PS3(on their network) on January 22nd. A PC version should follow soon after. Minimum requirement below.
Sources cited that a date for the PC demo couldn't not be given due to some marketing reason(probably an exclusive reveal by some magazine). A minimum and recommended requirement has been posted by community manager at the official forums.
Minimum Requirements:
- Operating system: Windows XP SP2/Vista SP1
- CPU: P4 2.8GHz (3.2GHz Vista) / Athlon 64 3000 + (3200 + Vista)
- Graphics Card: DirectX 9 compatible graphics card with 256MB (SM 2.0b) - Nvidia 6800 or ATI X700
- Memory: 1GB (1.5GB on Windows Vista)
- Hard disk: 12GB
- DirectX: 9.0c - DirectX 9.0c
- Sound: DX9.0c kompatible Soundkarte - Sound: DX9.0c compatible sound card
- Internet: Broadband connection for multiplayer
Recommended system requirements:
- Operating system: Windows XP SP3/Vista SP1
- CPU: Core 2 Duo 2.2GHz Athlon 64 X2 processor 4400 + (required to "host" of multiplayer matches)
- Graphics Card: DirectX 9 compatible graphics card with 512MB (SM 3.0) - NVidia 8600 GTS or ATI HD 2900 XT
- Memory: 1.5GB
- Hard disk: 12GB
- DirectX 9.0c
- Sound: DX9.0c compatible sound card
- Drive: DVD
- Broadband connection for multiplayer (768kbit/sec "upstream" required to "host" of multiplayer matches with up to 16 players)
The game looks good and the requirements are quite lenient. F.E.A.R is set to be released on February 13th.
