bigdownload.com ran a story highlighting the fact that you can win yourself a slot to the Star Trek Online Beta(and new screenshots). According to a posting on the official site:
"Each day, for five days, we will post a new Star Trek centric trivia question. The first person to correctly answer the question within the forum thread will receive a point. After the fifth day, we'll tally up the points; the person who has the most points will receive a guaranteed beta slot!."
Star Trek Online is being developed by Cryptic Studios(developers of City of Heroes) for the PC in which each player can take control of their own ship.

Ah, so they finally announced that everyone would have their own ship as opposed to being assigned to an officer position aboard the same vessel?

Yeah, the game is still under wraps...alot of things they are still not announcing yet...probably they are still testing them to see whether it would work out.
