Valve Admits To Working On Own Free To Play Games

Valve has admitted that they are indeed working on their own free to play games. Valve's Marketing VP, Doug Lombardi(he simply said yes when asked that question directly) said "This trend continues for some time and we believe it will continue." He added "There are other free-to-play Steam [games] coming in with the use of micro-transactions." I wonder if Valve is planning to make DOTA 2, a free to play game. That would make the most sense since League of Legends  uses a free to play model.
