The other game that is about vying for the title of Shogun, Sengoku, looks to be an interesting change of pace. It’s also a bit of a new arena for Paradox. In Sengoku, the players objective is to become Shogun(set in the Sengoku Jidai period) which is quite contrary to other Paradox titles that are more sand box. The bit about how you recruit armies seem really interesting. You recruit samurai leaders who have their own armies and loyalty will play a big role. They didn’t get to detailed into how characters work in Sengoku but I suspect there will be some similarities with how it will work in Crusader King II. Sengoku is targeted for a Q3 2011 release.
