It’s without a doubt Duke Nukem has had a long history from the 2D side scrollers to Duke Nukem 3D. 2K Games are doing something unique here by having a trailer that charts the history of Duke in all his previous incarnations. I appreciate retrospective looks of games like this(if you haven’t figured this out yet by my post on id Software). Personally I think Duke Nukem really became a big title with Duke Nukem 3D. I’m sure the side scrollers were popular, but nowhere near as popular as Duke Nukem as an FPS. Trailer below…
