This Weeks Gaming - Magicka Vietnam The Only New Thing I’ll Be Playing
Rather quiet week and I realise I wasn’t able to play some of the games I was supposed to have played last week. This week, I don’t have any game to review, so I’ll definitely have more time on my hands. I promise I’ll have a look at Dreamlords Resurrection and Muh Muh Muh Magicka Vietnam…
Total War: Shogun 2
My Shimazu campaign has been going well, but the game has been able to throw challenging situations at me that I feel the previous total war games never did. The enemy really harasses your trade ships and attacks your trading lines. And their armies will attack your cities. Almost by surprise. The thing about introducing a fog of war is that it really removes info about your enemies. It would have been cool if you could have built a watch tower and have that lift the fog of war in enemy territory neighboring your region. But from what I’ve played, I don’t see any option of building a watch tower(which was in the original Shogun).
Mass Effect 2
If you didn’t know, you can get Mass Effect 2 for free with your Dragon Age 2 online pass. I’ve got Mass Effect 2 this way and will be playing through it this week. It feels a lot better as a shooter, but I’m not sure if I like that whole idea of ammo/thermal clips in this game. Now I have to think about conserving ammo.
Pride of Nations
I won’t be playing this one this week. I finally completed the tutorials but the preview build I got is too unstable to play the grand campaign. It crashes a lot. Decided to wait for the final release and try it out then. But from what I saw, extremely detailed with like a million different map views. It’s got a complex resource/supply/ world market system. I think this game might break me. Sadly, really couldn’t play it much to judge just how it will play out.
Dreamlords Resurrection
Okay I didn’t play this one last week but I think I can have a write up on this by the end of this week. Will definitely put the effort to play this.
Magicka Vietnam
Yay! Magicka Vietnam will be out on April 12th. I’m definitely going to jump into it. The best bit is that even people who don’t buy this DLC will be able to play it(only the host has to own it). Definitely going to try to get my multiplayer buddies to play this one.

Is Magicka Vietnam up in steam yet ? I gonna throw my money on it, whatever the price is, even at epic Activision price of USD 60.00
ReplyDeleteNope. You can pre order it on Gamersgate though. You will get a steam code on the 12th/13th
