Mass Effect 3 New Combat Additions - Piloted Cerberus Mechs Confirmed
If you’ve been following the Mass Effect 3 news, you would have known that Mass Effect 3 will be introducing jump for the first time in the series. That’s not the only thing that’s new with Mass Effect 3’s combat. Speaking to PC Gamer, Bioware’s Casey Hudson detailed how combat has evolved in the highly anticipated RPG. The reapers aren’t your usual Geth or humanoid enemy, but a species which uses technology and robots to help it do its fighting. You’ll also be facing Cerberus Mechs that are piloted by a Cerberus trooper. You will be able to shoot at the trooper piloting the mech and disable the mech and the trooper. If you destroy the mech, the trooper pop outs and will continue to attack you.
Casey also confirmed that they’ll be adding heavier melee attacks and special abilities with new interesting twists. “So we’re giving them heavier melee stuff that they might do, or one of them is able to suck back the health of the enemies you’ve killed around it. So as you’re killing enemies next to it, your squadmates are working on this character, and it’s able to suck in the health” he said. If you’ve been hoping to play Mass Effect 3 this year, you will be disappointed to learn that it has been pushed back to Q1 2012.

Mech Combat is awesome to say the least. Mecha combat using close range is even more cooler.
ReplyDeleteI hope they release this early unlike other games (diablo 3) which took ages to be released.
