Codemasters Malaysia To Grow To 100 People In 2011
In an interview with Bernama TV’s Hello Malaysia talk show, Codemasters Malaysia Sdn. Bhd’s Ivon Smith(lead technical art trainer) said the Malaysian branch will grow to about 100 people this year. They are currently working on assets for DiRT 3 and a mobile racing game. The major thing Codemasters are focusing on is training Malaysians and graduates to be better prepared to work in the industry. That is the major issue facing Malaysia at the moment. The mismatch of skills between the graduates and industry requirements(no different with other IT industries) is a major hurdle for any foreign company that is thinking about opening an office here. Good to know that the Codies are committed to building up their Malaysian office. It has to be noted that Codemasters Malaysia is still predominantly an art production house. So if you think you fancy yourself as a graphics designer/3D modeler, you can try your luck by emailing klrecruitment3d@codemasters.com
