Independent Games Festival Finalists Finalised
The IGF have announced their list of finalists for the Independent Games Festival competition that will be held at the games Developers Conference on March 2nd. For the grand prize, Seumas McNally Awards, the five games selected for it are Amnesia: The Dark Descent(Frictional Games), Faraway(Steph Thirion), Feign(Ian Snyder), Choice of Broadsides(Choice of Games) and Spy Party(Chris Hecker). Spy Party is a cool concept that pits two players together, one as a spy in a party(hence the title) and the other, a sniper with the objective of killing the spy. A very cat and mouse sort of game. Very interesting. Amnesia: The Dark Descent is the follow up to the work the guys at Frictional did with Penumbra. A genuinely scary game. You can read more about the nominees for all the categories at the IGF official site here.
