Battlefield 3 Not Coming To Steam - EA Still Trying To Work Out An Agreement

EA maintained earlier that Battlefield 3 will be on Steam but only after release. They've changed their stance since. You got to understand them though especially with Steam removing EA games. It seems EA hasn't managed to work out a deal with Steam so far regarding the sales of DLC in their games(read here for proper explanation regarding this issue). A post on the EA forums stated "EA offers games to all major download services. Unfortunately, Steam has adopted a set of restrictive terms of service which limit how developers interact with customers to deliver patches and other downloadable content. No other download service has adopted these practices." Not sure if this is the final say on this matter since Steam is the biggest digital distribution platform, it is a big deal for the game. They are still hoping to work out an agreement with Steam "We hope to work out an agreement where Steam can carry Battlefield 3; meanwhile, gamers can pick from the more than 100 digital retailers listed at http://www.battlefield.com/digitaldownload, or go to http://www.origin.com" Will update this post if more info surfaces regarding this.
