Ubisoft Nets A Loss of €52.1 Million - New PC Game Teased

In their financial year report, Ubisoft posted a 15% drop in sales(€178 Million) revenue for Q4 2010-2011(which ends on March 2011). But their overall revenue for the year was up 19% to €1,039 Million. They made a net loss of €52.1 Million which isn’t that bad looking at the increased sales numbers. It just means they’ll have to consolidate, restructure, restrategise and reorganise which all means cutbacks, layoffs and such. There’s also this line in the financial report “In the coming days, we will officially announce an ambitious project on PC based on one of our top gamer franchises that will illustrate our capacity to take advantage of new business models.” Taking advantage of new business models sounds like something free to play. And what do they means by top gamer franchise? Ambitious? What an Assassin’s Creed free to play MMO? I’ll be on the lookout for this ‘announcement’.
