Techland announced they have released a day one patch for the troubled Dead Island. Reviews have been negative due to the amount of bugs and even broken quests. It was revealed yesterday that the Steam version was an incorrect build. It was confirmed by Techland that they accidental released a dev build of the XBOX360 version of the game on Steam. In a statement to Joystiq, a Deep Silver representative said "We deeply regret that an incorrect version of Dead Island was inadvertently made available to players on Steam launch in North America". Those having issues with the Steam version... hang in there, a fix might be on the way soon. You should be able to play coop once the Steam version is fixed.
