But That Was[Yesterday] is a flash game by one Michael Molinari. It is describe on the site as a personal journey about learning to move forward in life. It’s one of those short artsy games that aren’t really games. They are more like experiences.
You only move forward and eventually you catch up on your past regrets. Your past memories always follow behind you when you turn around, they are still there, your dog, your best friend, you first girlfriend. Whenever you are hit with your past regrets, you only need to look back an be reminded of the good things in life.
Some of the scenes are gut wrenching and might remind you of your own moments in life. I think this has to be a very personal story from the game designer. You just know this is what he wants you to find out, to learn from this game. To move on…
