Corporate Climber - It’s a Dog Eat Dog World!

Corporate Climber is a new flash game made by those talented bunch of people calling themselves Pixel Jam. It’s an ode to old classic games with 8 bit graphics, sound effects, and one button action.

In Corporate Climber, you take on the role of a nameless peon bent on climbing up the corporate ladder. Each corporate ‘floor’ is an obstacle challenge, that you must jump, duck and avoid nasty projectiles like corporate mail, jealous co workers, office files, etc to get to the elevator to take you to the next floor. Many floor require you to complete certain objectives like turning of a furnace by flipping switches, burning all the files on a shelf and many other corporate mischief.

I love how they’ve interpreted the many menial tasks of a blue collar worker all the way up to the the board for directors floor. It’s often funny and depressing at the same time. Like in one floor, you are actually sending off termination papers to those working at the floor below you and they come after you(avoid them) and some of them jump out off the window. No sure what Pixel Jam is saying with this game…hmmmm

Corporate climber is a baby puncher. A lot of the objectives are finger numbingly difficult and a single hit will kill you(thankfully you just start back at the same floor). Expect lots of retries. There’s a surprise along the way so don’t give up, it’s worth it. And watch out for those damned rats!
