So apart from my on going Deus Ex: Human Revolution Game, there's basically one new game for me this week. That's RAGE! or is it RaGE! or Rage?! Whatever... RAAAAAAGE
Rage
So is it the future of FPS gaming? A technical leap forward? A major evolution for Id? Well... it's a damn good shooter that's for sure. As for the graphics, it's gorgeous if you ignore the texture resolutions(which as I've posted, you can increase the texture resolution) and the popping texture's as you turn quickly. Certain scene's look absolutely breathtaking. Rage is awesome at amazing vistas and far distant scenery. Mega textures doing its magic I presume. The game itself seems all right. The shooting is solid, the other stuff... maybe not as satisfying. There's racing and looting and selling junk and crafting which still seems a little out of place(the racing isn't too bad). As other people have said, this isn't a proper open world game. You'd be doing a few missions and move on to the next set in a linear progression. I'm having fun. And yeah the game has got a lot of technical issues for some... especially ATI/AMD graphic card users. You might want to follow what people are saying regarding these issues before buying the game(hold on for now). I'll do video soon.
