Zynga Now Valued At Almost $10billion
The New York Times reported that Zynga, the social game developer which brought you Facebook classics such as FarmVille, Mafia Wars, FrontierVille and CityVille, is now being valued close to USD$10 billion. To give you some comparison, ActivisionBlizzard is valued at $13.9 billion. Zynga was valued at USD$5.5 billion last October. It is unclear just how people ‘value’ a company or how accurate it is to the ‘actual’ value of a company. Surely some hype must have been accounted for in this ‘valuation’. The last people I would believe are those financial industry guys, banks and wall street hacks.
