If you’ve been hoping for a StarCraft II Heart of Swarm or Diablo 3 to release this year, well you’ll have to pray harder. Activision Blizzard CFO Thomas Tippl dashed PC Gamers hope in an interview with Gameindustry.biz. He basically said “In the long run Blizzard is good for one major release a year.. but the quality of the game had to be there. "Compromises on the game quality" was something "we would never do.” Both Blizzard man Mike Morhaime and Activision Blizzard main man Bobby Kottick both downplayed both games chances of being released this year. Well that sucks. Oh well, wait for next year. Speculation has it that they might announced a firm release date for one of these games at this years Blizzcon(October 2011). Or maybe they’ll announce the start of a Diablo 3 beta.
