Cryptic Studios super hero themed MMO, Champions Online, is the next in line to get the free to play treatment. The game will be open to all worldwide on January 25th. Cryptic has posted up a FAQ on their site. It loos like they’ll be following the standard store points used to purchase item strategy(cryptic points are used to purchase premium stuff on their online store). There will be silver and gold tier users. Silver are those who choose to play free to play and gold are those that choose to continue subscribing to the game. I’ll give this one a spin when it’s available.

Just a few more days until the re-launch of Champions Online as a Free-To-Play game. Now, I’ll be able to take my demo version character, Ultimate Champion, out of Millenium City. Woohoo!
