Greg Cherlin from Valve posted on the TF2 blog that recent post on the April 1st about a Sniper weapon The Jarate may have been an April Fools joke, but the Sniper update isn’t. He admits that the Sniper is the next class that will receive an update and claims that there are some pretty big game updates in it. And I quote:
The next class pack will focus on the Sniper. It's actually shaping up to be the largest TF2 update yet, with multiple new maps and a bunch of gameplay tweaks. In addition, we've got another update in the works that should be done before the Sniper, and that one will include some new content for all classes.
It will be interesting to see what new content there will be for all classes.
