King Arthur was real you say? I don't know where you learnt your history, but Neocore certainly is trying to tell a tale of King Arthur in a new way(yes there are no such thing as flying dragons). Turn based and real time strategy ala the Total War formula. They didn't quite get it with the first attempt but they hope to make a big push with the sequel.
