Paper Moon is the latest game from Infinite Ammo on Blurst, the guys that did the insane Offroad Velociraptor Safari. Paper Moon is a time attack platformer that uses a layer mechanic that allows players to make thing from the back pop out. Note: the game requires the installation of the Unity Web Player plugin to work.
Paper Moon is an extremely short game. There is a 5 minute timer for you to finish the game. Run out of time and its game over. There are only four levels which you play in only three each time. This isn’t an epic platformer but it’s just a short game you play over the internet. For what it is, Paper Moon has high production values.
The platforming involves moving certain objects to the foreground so you can use it to jump or kill baddies. It’s simple but effective. There are branching paths that you can take in a level that might net you more fruits(points) or even take you to a whole different level. This leads to a lot of experimentation with looking out for new paths that you might have not ventured in the first run.
For a freely available web game, Paper Moon features a global leaderboard and get this, ACHIEVEMENTS! While playing the game, you might get a pop up saying you have got a particular achievement, which is like crack for some people. I can’t deny the thrill of getting achievements.
The art style in Paper Moon is really nice and detailed and animations are of a high quality. The music is subtle and fitting with a simple piano score that fills each level. Paper Moon is a fast and short diversion. Play this game, It won’t take much of your time.
