People Love Skyrim - Sets New Steam Record

Surprised? A single player only game topping the top seller and concurrent user charts. Yesterday, there was a total of 231, 593 gamers playing Bethesda's latest and long awaited Elder Scrolls V. Today, it topped that and hit 287,411 concurrent players. The nearest competitor? Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 at 86,832 players. Which may not be a real indicator of the FPS battle considering there is no Battlefield 3 on Steam just yet(there are rumours it might be there soon... not confirmed). Also the multiplayer for MW3, yeah guess what if you play on dedicated servers, no unlocks or level progression... yeah you got to play peer to peer to be able to unlock stuff in the meta game. This sort of proves single player games are still a force to be reckoned with and no.... you don't need multiplayer or coop in every game. You can check the Steam stats here, updated regularly.
