Need For Speed Most Wanted Trailer Goes Through The Most Wanted List
Criterion's Need For Speed Most Wanted single player will have you racing against the most wanted list, the 10 most daring, fast and elite racers in the world. You can gain that car if you take him down, which is a rather cool and fresh concept. I like what Criterion are doing with the Need For Speed games. Not afraid to change things just a bit, their own take on classic NFS games. Most Wanted looks to be just that. Need for Speed Most Wanted releases November 2nd. Watch the trailer below...

GRID 2 Gameplay Footage - Cars, Road, And Sun Shafts
Codemasters has put out two videos of GRID 2 in action. One an urban familiar looking Chicago level and another one taking place in an open California coast. These are footage from an alpha version so it's still early in development. It's not breaking expectations, looks fast, and the lighting looks like a big improvement. The game is due Summer 2013. GRID 2 Announcement Trailer - Codemasters Back With The Sequel To GRID
GRID was rather popular with the racing fans. It was a solid racer with a mechanic of rewinding time to fix any screw up you did. It had a very competitive multiplayer scene. Codemasters announces GRID 2! Due out Summer 2013, an updated version of the EGO engine with more stat progression than you can shake a stick at. They have a social network thing called Race.net(oh boy... so many games with some sort of website tie in). Details are pretty scarce for now but apparently it's been in pre production for 2 years now(probably engine work). GRID has never been about simulation or super realistic racing but always was about a sweet spot of arcadish racing and realism. Will be keeping an eye on this one. Check out the début trailer below...

Criterion has released a new gameplay trailer of the upcoming Need For Speed: Most Wanted. It's going to shake things up in the Need For Speed franchise(Criterion, makers of the Burnout franchise has been good on the Need For Speed series with Hot Pursuit being a pretty good game). This trailer showcases the Corvertte ZR1, Koenigsegg Agera R and The Hummer H1 Alpha doing some nasty things to other cars. Need For Speed: Most Wanted is dated October 30th. Mad Riders Trailer - It's a Video Game! And It Has Races!
Ubisoft are poking fun of the idea of teaser trailers. A teaser trailer for the actual trailer. It's such a ridiculous concept, but it works. This trailer is hilarious! If you like games, and if you like races, you'll like Mad Riders because it's a game... and it has races! LOL Mad Riders is being developed by Techland, the makers of Dead Island. It's out on PC, PSN and XBLA and will be price at USD$10. Coming out on May 30. CHeck out the trailer for the trailer below...

Sleeping Dogs Gameplay Highlight Trailer - Story & Driving
Sleeping Dogs, the re-imagined new game from United Front and SquareEnix has got its first batch of gameplay trailer. This trailer showcases driving in Sleeping Dogs. Don't expect super realistic driving here. The driving reminds me of Midnight Club(it was a racing game like Need For Speed: Underground but made by Rockstar). There's the usual illegal street races to hijacking vehicles. I've also embedded a story trailer. Check out the trailers below...

F1 Online: The Game - Free To Play Online Racing Game?
Codemasters hitting on the free to play segment with a rather odd offering... F1 Online: The Game. A free to play game, a racing game... Okay so free to play is a big thing and many publishers a beginning to look at it as a serious PC offering. We've got Battlefield, other First Person Shooters, RTS, RPG, now... a racing game(well technically Trackmania United was probably the first f2p racing game). So what next? Cooking Mama Online?(okay so I shouldn't be giving publishers any ideas). F1 Online is a browser based game and features something called a pattern shop which I presume, you could peruse to buy fancy vinyl's and other decorative stuff for your car(with real money). The official site is currently down, but was open to beta registration(check back later). Check out the first look trailer they released...

This Trailer Is Directed By Michael Bay - EA Goes Big
A trailer for Need For Speed: The Run was released yesterday. So what's so special about a trailer you may ask, well it's directed by Hollywood big time, Michael Bay. Made for TV commercials, the trailer is a pretty good introduction to the premise of the game. Watch the trailer below...

UPDATE: Dirt 3 And The Case Of 3 Million Missing Keys
UPDATE: Just a reminder to everyone. There would have been a bunch of CD key for sale for Dirt 3 on the internet recently. DO NOT BUY THEM. They are mostly likely from the stolen list. These keys can get blacklisted and worse still your Steam account can get banned.
I don't mean car keys, I mean digital serial keys. According to this report on Kotaku, Codemasters together with partner AMD were supposed to have been running a promo that will include a Dirt 3 key for certain AMD graphics cards. There were 3 million keys to be given away. But disaster struck, and someone's got their hands on the list of 3 million key. If you are wondering how someone managed to pull of this digital hackery, well... the list was put on a webserver and while not linked anywhere, was quite easily accesible if you keyed in the right URL. Great job Codemasters, but I suppose the thing with digital copies is that, you don't have any actual number of units right? Still this is bloody embarrassing for Codemasters. People have been redeeming these keys and from what I know Codemasters hasn't blacklisted these keys yet.

Need For Speed The Run Trailer - Run For Hills
EA has put up a new tailer for Need For Speed The Run. This new trailer shows a race in the Nevada desert. The Run will be a story centered game as you take on the role of a fugitive on the run. You race across the United States, so you can expect to race in a variety of location plus... quicktime events and on foot sequences. Need For Speed The Run is due to be released late November this year. Watch the latest trailer below...

Proun Review: Proudly Priced
Pay What You Want. That's how much recently released indie racer Proun costs. A pretty bold move for solo developer Joost van Dongen (And unexpected as the good response killed his server within hours), who's been toiling on this game for the last six years while not working at Ronimo Games (Awesomenauts and Swords & Soldiers) and sleeping. Is it a gimmick though? Maybe he's letting us name the price because it's not worth anything?
If only it were that simple.

At least the first two that has been released for the consoles. You might remember that I posted a while ago that EA has announced that the GT Legends and Speed Hunters DLC for SHIFT 2 Unleashed has been confirmed to be releasing on the PC. It’s been a while, but I promise you the wait… might have been worth it. Because EA released a press release that both these DLC’s will be release for free for all PC players. Best part, it’s coming out on June 30th!

GRID Online Multiplayer Discontinued - It’s Time To Move On If You’ve Been Playing It Online
Codemasters announced today that the online component for GRID will be taken down(the server infrastructure) for the PC and PS3 versions. GRID online multiplayer has been operational for 3 years since its release in 2008. According to Codemasters, the reason for the discontinuation stems from ‘third party provider that declined the offer of an extended contract to continue online play on these platforms’. It’s time to move on.

NFS:The Run E3 2011 Gameplay Demo - Same Ol’ EA Black Box NFS Title
If you’ve been curious as to how exactly Need For Speed The Run will be different from other NFS title, you can see it with your own eyes now. E3 2011 gameplay demo which shows… well a Need For Speed game. Looks pretty much the same as any Need For Speed game except the premise. You are running away from the cops. I think for the entirety of the game and you play one character. It’s also purportedly using the same engine powering Battlefield 3, but me thinks you’ll agree it looks quite bland. It might just be an early version of the game. The game is slated to release November 15th. View the gameplay demo below…

Second DLC For SHIFT 2 Announced - Still No News For PC Gamers
EA has put up a new trailer announcing The Speedhunters DLC for SHIFT 2 Unleashed that will be available on XBOXBlive and PSN on May 17th. Still no news on the release of the first DLC, GT Legends, for the PC. EA tweeted that PC gamers should stay tuned for an announcement back in April. After some digging around in the forums, I found that Slightly Mad Studios had patched in PC DLC support in the second patch (it was stated in the patch notes) with an added note that it was a publisher driven release decision. Not exactly sure what that means but I think the ball in in EA’s court. It is up to them to release the DLC for PC whenever they want. And their track record isn’t very encouraging(with similar ordeals with Burnout Paradise and Need for Speed Hot Pursuit DLC’s not released on the PC). This shifty behaviour(no pun intended) from EA is very unbecoming of a large PC game publisher. They should come right out if the DLC’s wont be available for the PC instead of playing the wait for announcements game. Maybe they’re afraid of lost sales because of not having DLC’s for the PC, but EA! Do the right thing!
