Deus Ex: Human Revolution IGN Gameplay Blowout - 30 Minute Gameplay Demo
IGN has posted a special video feature of Deus Ex: Human Revolution which includes a 30 minute gameplay demo broken up into 3 parts. There's recently been a tonne of new video for the upcoming Deus Ex. But surely more videos don't hurt. I'll most likely be getting this game(August 23rd) even if the PC version is being ported to the PC by a third party studio. Watch all 3 parts below...

IGN Gobbles Up 1UP Network - UGO Apparently Sold
There’s been some consolidation with the gaming media over in North America for years now. It looks like another chapter is about to close as news spreads that IGN has bought over UGO, the owners of the 1UP network. Venturebeat reports that once the merger is complete, IGN is likely to spin out from News Corp(which it currently runs under) and set up as it’s own entity. IGN has been very profitable as a site over the years. The article claims it should be making 10 million dollar profits although it’s uncertain how much of this is solely from Direct2Drive(a digital distribution network that is owned by IGN). Sad news. 1UP was an interesting site with a lot of good writers who wrote interesting features(and maybe sometimes not so interesting features). And IGN is…well… IGN and their main feature is babe of the week…yeah… No official confirmation on the fate of 1UP though.

Portal 2 Coop Gameplay Commentary - Great Success
IGN has uploaded a 6 minute video commentary on Portal 2’s coop bits. The video shows how the coop campaign starts off so if you don’t want to get spoiled, don’t watch it. Personally it’s not so spoilery in my opinion. The video is just a walkthrough of coop from the very beginning and you don’t get much narrative… yet, but there are some jokes in there. Keep an eye out on how GlaDOS receives the gestures. It’s hilarious. Video below…

IGN Pro League Teaser - IGN Gets In The Business of StarCrat II Pro Gaming
The speculation has been bubbling for the past couple of weeks. StarCraft II community sites found out that IGN were planning on setting up a North American StarCraft II pro league. Looks like it’s confirmed now as IGN has released this short teaser trailer. The trailer teases that more information will be up on April 21st at IGN Pro League Official Site. Details of season one brackets and player here. If you’re a fan of professional StarCraft II broadcasts, you might want to mark your calendars. They’ve also got some pretty good commentators like The Cynical Brit (TotalBiscuit) and HD StarCraft. I think they will have live broadcasts and recorded video of the tournament(they'd be pretty daft not to include that) Check out the IGN Pro League Teaser Trailer below…

StarCraft II IGN Single Player Video Preview
IGN has a write up preview of StarCraft II’s single player campaign. The preview contains some spoilers in the type of mission you will face. On top of that, they have a video preview which looks sweet. The in between missions look great as you control Jim Raynor in the spaceship Hyperion. There seems to be some pretty smart single player missions and a lot of diversity in mission types. I’m glad that Blizzard are doing new things for this game(in terms of mission design) when many consider StarCraft II to be just a graphical update. I think this video preview will prove to you it isn't. Video preview below:

Empire: Total War Multiplayer Campaign Mode Detailed
In an IGN interview with Creative Assembly Communications Manager, Kieran Brigden, spilled the beans on the much awaited multiplayer campaign mode. He said:
The multiplayer campaign game will be limited to 1v1, certainly for its first iteration; this is because we want to include playing battles from the campaign. In terms of how it will work, yes, you will be able to save your games and return to them. You could have several 1v1 games on the go so that you can have a series of opponents, enabling you to dip in and out of games against different opponents over a period of days, weeks and months. This links in deftly with the Steam buddy system: letting you see who's online and pickup with them.
He went on to explain the victory conditions of the multiplayer campaign mode:
In the first instance, the victory conditions from the single player campaign will be applied for multiplayer. There are several campaign modes: shorter 100 turn campaigns or the longer 200 turn versions, and based on capturing a set of regions or earning the highest level of prestige by a given in-game date. At a later stage, we may well look to develop specific victory conditions and extend modes for multiplayer.
He said that players can take over the role of AI:
In addition, players will get the option to fight as the opposing AI army in any battle encountered by their opponent. So basically, the player can replace the AI in battle, meaning that players can be constantly fighting multiplayer battles that have an impact on the overall campaign.
You will still have the standard fare of multiplayer land battles and the new sea battles with a whole host of options to tweak a match. There will also be some form of match making that will look for an opponent of similar skill and leaderboards too. Can't wait to get online with this game.
Empire: Total War is set for a 3rd Mard release.
