UPDATE: It's official official now! There a
Battlefield 4 page on Battlefield.com. DICE maintains that with the release of two expansions, Back to Karkand and Close quarters and with Armoured Kill, End Game and Aftermath on the horizon, they are dedicated to delivering new content for Battlefield 3. They aren't ready to talk about Battlefield 4 just yet.
PC Gamer states that the beta will begin in Autumn 2013.
What started off as a little rumour and what could have been an honest mistake, turns out to be true. The pre-order of the
Limited Edition of Medal of Honor Warfighter included an early access into the Battlefield 4 beta. EA president, Frank Gibeau confirmed the Battlefield 4 beta by saying "
a one-two punch of action, intensity and shooter entertainment." Speculation has it that Battlefield 4 will at least be a late 2013 or even early 2014 release that might coincide with next gen console release. Will update post when more news about this hits the press.
