CVG reported that Activision Brand Manager, Simon Wells claims that Modern Warfare 2 will become the best selling game of all time when it is released. And I quote:
"Each year the Call of Duty franchise goes from strength-to-strength," the Acti-Blizz man said.
"We want to propel this year's title to be the biggest selling video game of all time. That may raise some eyebrows, but step back and look at the franchise's trajectory through preceding launches, and this objective starts to look viable.
Yes but how far can you push a franchise until it becomes stale. Look at the Tony Hawk series and Need For Speed series. I am confident that Infinity Ward are great developers that look at improvements in every iteration but they must be allowed to do their own thing.
"Plans are being developed to deliver one of the most engaging campaigns of the year," he added.
Sure, we will wait for a proper hands on before jumping to that conclusion.
