Designed by indie game Terraria's graphic artist, Starbound from Chuckelfish, is an indie adventure/RPG title buried in an open sandbox universe. It's a hybrid sort of game that incorporates RPG elements with 'sim'ish aspects. You take on the role of a group of lost explorer and you discover an abandoned space station. Here is where the adventure begins, taking you to procedurally generated planets that are highly randomised/procedural; from the lifeforms, weathers, to even the gravity on it. There are quests to pick up and solve, new species of plant life and animal life to discover and share online(you can share your discoveries of the randomised worlds online)... heck you can eventually own an entire planet. Best of all... there is co-op! Incredibly interesting premise, the game is planned for a summer 2012 release(obviously they want it to be done though, so don't be surprised if they delayed it).
